Project Tree
The Project Tree function is used to organize complex, multi-component projects by establishing a relationship between a main Parent Project and its related smaller projects (often referred to as sub-projects or phases).
Purpose of Parent Project?
Parent Project: This represents the major, overarching development.
Sub-Projects/Phases: When a major project is too large or is developed in multiple, distinct phases, each phase is created as a separate project.
Hierarchical Tagging: The platform allows you to tag these separate phase projects directly to the main Parent Project. This ensures that all related components remain organized under one master record.
How does it Work?
The system facilitates this by:
Identifying the main project as the Parent Project (e.g., the TS - A96 Dualling Inverness to Nairn Road Upgrade).
Creating individual project profiles for each phase or component (e.g., Phase 1, Phase 2, or a related road spur).
Linking those smaller projects back to the Parent Project in the Project Tree section, ensuring clear visibility of the entire project scope.
This structure allows users to track the overall progress of the Parent Project while still accessing granular details, key dates, and independent company/contact information for each associated sub-project or phase.
